Ryan Reynolds stands 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) tall, while Jake Gyllenhaal is about 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm). This puts Ryan roughly 3 inches taller, which is easy to notice when the two actors stand together.
Jake’s height has an unusual story behind it. Writer and podcast host Starlee Kine spent part of her Mystery Show trying to settle the question. Jake later spoke to her himself and said he was about 5 feet 11½ inches.
The story did not end there. Jake later appeared on CONAN and agreed to a real on-stage height check. He removed his shoes and stood beside the tape. His hair first made the top look close to the 6-foot area, but after it was pressed down, Conan called the measurement at about 5 feet 11 inches.
