During an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Segel discussed being unusually tall from a young age. The interview originally aired on December 4, 2006. He also confirmed his measurement in a 2009 Fresh Air interview with Terry Gross. When Gross asked if he was 6’4″, Segel replied:
“I am 6’4″.”
His tall frame affected his early acting career. Segel explained in a GQ interview that he was too tall for teenage roles but still too young to play older professionals. His height became less of an obstacle as he moved into adult roles. Watch original video on YouTube
